ABOUT: This position will serve as a Communications Representative for the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential, supporting the Department’s day-to-day communication activities. The position will have the responsibility of coordinating regular internal and external communication for the department and assisting in the coordination of events. The position will write content for press releases, scripts, social media posts, flyers, email blasts, and more. The position will also serve on special projects as assigned by the Communications Manager and MiLEAP leadership.

Assistant Director of Development

ABOUT: The Assistant Director of Development will focus on significant contact with prospects whose philanthropic capacity is between $10,000 and $100,000 and more, managing a portfolio of approximately 80 major donor prospects. It is expected that the Assistant Director will average 12-15 strategic contacts per month, which will result in greater engagement and movement toward a major gift solicitation at a rate of 2 to 3 solicitations per month, with all solicitation efforts cleared and coordinated with Wharton Center and University Advancement at Michigan State University. The Assistant Director will report directly to the Director of Development at Wharton Center for Performing Arts.

ABOUT: The Event Specialist will provide logistical and strategic support to the Event Management Supervisor in recommending and planning the venues, activities, presentations, workshops, registrations, and various engagement campaigns for Farm Bureau Insurance events. The role will also include assisting in the delivery of event content, including hosting workshops and following up with subject matter experts and presenters for materials, and the preparation of presentation slides, videos and other materials in coordination with other marketing teams.
